Snowstorm Information: To better serve the community during a snowstorm, we kindly request that all vehicles remain in your driveway during the storm. It creates a safety hazard when the plow truck operators have to plow around a vehicle parked in the street.
Fall Cleanup: During the fall, usually in
the months of September and October, the town schedules a cleanup of certain
items. The town posts the dates and times at most public buildings and in the
Newburyport Daily News & The Hampton Union.
The most common items considered for pickup include: small appliances,
furniture, boxes of clothing, books, lamps, and general trash. Items that will
not be collected include: any type of hazardous waste (paint, oil,
asbestos material of any kind), leaves, brush, grass, tree limbs, vehicles
batteries, tires, solid fill (rock, dirt, concrete, brick). All items must be
placed along the road and should be situated to avoid injury during collection.
Please call of you have any questions about the types of items collected before
you place them outside.
We ask everyone to be reasonable in the amount of items to be collected.
