ITEMS

HOW

Aluminum, steel and tin cans. Clean foil and pie plates Place empty and washed items in the bins. Please no lids or tops!
Glass bottles & jars - clear, green and brown. No light bulbs, cookware, mirrors, ceramics, plate glass or window glass. These other types of glass may be brought to and put in containers at the Transfer Station. Please wash and separate into untied plastic bags. Please no lids or tops!
Paper - newspaper, magazines, junk mail, office paper, phonebooks, and gray cardboard boxes (cereal, pasta, etc). Place in brown paper bags. Please do not tie.
Plastic - large containers such as milk, water, soda, juice and laundry detergent jugs. Please empty, wash and flatten items place in plastic bags.

The following is a list of items to be brought to the Transfer Station.

Appliances - Most household items can be brought to the scrap metal pile. Refrigerators & air conditioners must be brought to the tipping floor to have their liquid properly drained first. Other items may be brought to the scrap metal pile.
Construction/Demolition - sheetrock, vinyl siding, asphalt shingles, insulation tiles and etc. Bring to construction/demolition container. Asphalt shingles must be put in separate container.
Furniture - bulky items such as couches, chairs, and mattresses and T.V's. Broken/non-usable items are to be brought to the tipping floor. See attendant for usable items.
Large Appliance Size Cardboard Bring to Recycling Center.
Motor Oil - all used oil must be free of any antifreeze, transformer oil or anything other than "normal" automotive oil. Please see attendant for disposal in tank.
Paint cans - empty/dried cans can be placed in normal rubbish. Cans with paint remaining, see attendant for details.
Scrap Metals - lawn chairs, grills, metal doors, windows (without the glass), bicycles, stoves, pipes, tire rims, wire and metal appliances. Bring items to the scrap metal pile. See attendant. 
Scrap Metal pile opened Tues, Thurs, Sat & Sun.
Tires Limited quantity. See attendant.
Textiles - these include clothing, hats, belts, paired shoes, towels, sheets, drapes, curtains, paired mittens and gloves. bring items to Recycling Building. No high heeled shoes, fabric scraps, wet or soiled textiles, rugs, yarn or string.
Wood - limbs under 6" diameter, scrap wood and pallets. Bring to wood pile. No Stumps. See attendant.
Wood pile is opened Tues, Thurs, Sat & Sun.
Yard Waste - grass, leaves, pine needles, and flowers. Bring to yard waste pile. No plastic bags.
