2011 Paving Program
The Towns Paving Program is expected to start on Monday July 18, 2011. The following streets to be paved are Batchelder Road from Route 107 to Ledge Road, Liberty Lane from Centennial to the Library and Walton Road from Washington Street to Causeway.
The work will take place in 3 phases:
- Phase 1: Shimming and leveling the streets with hot top to re-establish proper crown and pitch.
- Phase 2: Adjust manholes, catch basins and water valves up through the shim paving to receive an additional 1 inch hot top wearing course.
- Phase 3: Final paving a 1 inch compacted hot top wearing surface.
This year’s contractor is Continental Paving of Londonderry, New Hampshire.
Phase 1 is expected to be completed in 1 work day. Phase 2 is expected to take 4 work days and Phase 3 is expected to take one work day.
If all goes well and it does not rain the above work should be completed before the end of July.
