Seabrook, New Hampshire, birthplace of New Hampshire’s first governor, Meschech Weare, is able to offer many amenities to residents and businesses to make day to day life pleasant and convenient. Nestled on the northern Massachusetts border and the Atlantic Ocean, the nine square mile town’s unique position on the short New Hampshire pristine coastline is its most prominent amenity. In addition to the unique and noteworthy recreation opportunities, other key amenities include excellent access to high quality medical care, educational and cultural facilities.

Recreation

Seabrook Beach: two miles of public sandy beaches and associated dune and salt marsh environments including fishing, seashore recreation, clamming, and related activities in the Seabrook/Hampton Harbor and the Atlantic Ocean. Whale watches and deep sea fishing are available with local party boats. Pier facility for pleasure and commercial boat launching available to residents.

Seabrook Community Center: offers programs and activities for preschoolers to senior citizens, including tennis lessons, arts and crafts, dances, many sports and exercise activities, day and recreation camps, as well as hunter safety classes. The Center is equipped with a full sized gym, weight room, locker rooms, and multi-meeting room facilities. Its mission is “to provide leisure services for the Seabrook residents of all ages and interests by promoting programs which encourage the development of healthy bodies, minds, and attitudes.”

Sports activities: youth baseball, t-ball, football, softball and soccer associated with Community Center held at town owned fields. Baseball teams for adults also available.

 

Science & Nature Center: Seabrook Station power plant offers tours exploring hands-on energy exhibits, providing education about marine life and explaining how uranium is used to make electricity. Picnic area is available.

The Owascoag Nature Trail: located at Seabrook Station power plant, tours exhibit local flora and fauna on a one-mile trek through preserved forest and salt marsh.

Seabrook Greyhound Park: live greyhound racing six days a week and simulcast horse racing from all over the country seven days a week. Dining available in the Kennel Club. Business meetings, corporate functions, and conferences may be held in the Granite Room. REGAP, Retired Greyhounds as Pets, a pet adoption program, is offered by the facility.

Restaurants: numerous dining facilities, both seasonal and year round, are available with many more within short travel distance.

Tennis Courts: two courts located at Community Center and one at town owned Governor Weare Park.

Golf Courses: several located within seven miles.
